Paula is digging and shaping the loam of a salvia,
Scarlet Chinese talker of summer.
Two petals of crabapple blossom blow fallen in Paula's hair,
And fluff of white from a cottonwood.

What with climate change (including the mild late winter we just had), it may be just a matter of time before this and the poem "April" below need to be renamed "May" and "March," respectively.
