Day Two: Coeur d'Alene to Bozeman

This was a long drive, and we stopped at Fort Missoula on the way. The country changed pretty dramatically after Coeur d'Alene, and also the sun came out.

The 75-mph speed limit makes the drive take less time, but it's hard to get good pictures going that fast!

We ate lunch in Wallace, nestled - literally - against the mountain

We spent too long poking around Ft Missoula, but it was an interesting collection of old buildings (moved from their original spot if not part of the fort) and logging stuff.

I remember these from my childhood - but I haven't seen one in forty years!

The GPS took us off the freeway for the last 20 miles - I don't know why! Here's a town we passed through.

Haha awesome pictures. Thank you for the welcome to Belgrade picture. Me and my wife lived in Belgrade for about 2 years before we got married.
