Farewell, Harry
Harry Harrison has died.
John Scalzi tells us a story, The Guardian has an obit, here's an interview from "Wild Violet", and Neil Gaiman has an appreciation and interview.
He was made a Grand Master by the Science Fiction Writers' Association, and for good reason: The Stainless Steel Rat, Bill the Galactic Hero, Deathworld, Make Room, Make Room! (which became the movie "Soylent Green"), Star Smashers of the Galaxy Rangers, A Transatlantic Tunnel, Hurrah!, and many, many short stories.
(You can get Deathworld from Project Gutenberg here.)
