Birds and more by the Water

My annual summer trip back to my home town. Went to the river yesterday afternoon.

Kayakers. The floats are for marking the lanes for rowing races - there are a lot of them held here.

And of course there are big Pekin ducks (her duckling is following her)

These must have had one of the mallardy ones for a dad

Look how ginormous they are compared to the little mallardy one behind them

I prefer to think of "mongrels" as having hybrid vigor!
