a few, less common, birds

In fact, two of these are brand new to me - the warbler and the vireo.

This is a white-eyed vireo:


And this a golden-winged warbler(you'll probably have to select the photo to find him, he didn't come out very far so the photos aren't the best)



Okay, song sparrows aren't less common, but here's a dad feeding his large, importunate offspring:



Again, the mockingbird is very common, but I haven't gotten a good picture of one so far this summer



And ditto the blue jays, who I often hear but rarely manage to see:


A tufted titmouse

And the male rufous-sided towhee, who is generally too wary to have his picture taken

Buy a good guide like Kaufman's and have a lot of patience!
